Monday 7.6. 7–10pm

Men: 400m hurdles, triple jump, discus throw.
National events: 400m, 800m heat B and C, pole vault.
Women: 800m, 3000m steeplechase, long jump, javelin.
National events: 400m.

Tuesday 8.6. 5.30–10 pm

(the event area opens at 4.30 pm)

Men: 100m, 800m, 110m hurdles, 3000m steeplechase, long jump, hammer throw, javelin
Women: 100m, 100m hurdles, hammer throw, high jump, pole vault, triple jump

Arrival at the stadium and parking

Paavo Nurmi stadium is located at the city centre, Paavo Nurmen puistotie 9, 20800 Turku. We recommend you to enter to the stadium on foot, by bike or by public transport because the parking space near the stadium is limited. Unobstructed entrance to the stadium is near the Martin koulu. You can use Föli busses or Föli-bikes when arriving to the stadium. If you come by a car we recommend you to leave your car in the city centre’s parkinghall.

There are two gates to the stadium. One gate is located at Itsenäisyydenaukio 2, behind the state office building and next to the Turku City Theatre. Another gate is located at Hopeasepänkuja 2, next to the Martin koulu. Be aware of the instructions and signs. Entry to the mainstand (A, B and VIP) is through the gate one only (Itsenäisyydenaukio 2). Entry to the C and D stands is through both gates.

Accessibility

Unobstructed entrance to the stadium is near the Martin koulu where we have accessible parking space. There are accessible wc:s and accessible stand in standing area D. Our staff is ready to help you in every situation.

COVID-19 instructions and protocol

Paavo Nurmi Games follow the Clean & Safe Turku instructions to ensure a safe visit for the visitors:

1. Familiarisation of the customer service agents
Personnel has been familiarised with the instructions on corona safe visit. All the staff is required to use face mask.

2. Customer communications
Customer instruction on a corona-proof visit takes place prior to the event (no attendance when ill, digital ticket bookings and card payments are recommended, hall entrance times, etc.) Face masks are being sold in every selling outlet and info point.

3. On-site instruction
Enough personnel on-site e.g. to give instructions on safe distances. Enough room for safe queuing.

4. Attendee control
Maintaining of safe distances in all spaces. Safe distance markings.

5. Hand hygiene
Customers are instructed to take care of their hand hygiene and there are hand washing and sanitation points.

6. Athletes and audience
Athletes will be on their own area and they will meet only the essential staff. Only the essential staff are able to use places inside the stadium.

The safety of an event is secured by following the instructions of the National Institute for Health and Welfare and the Ministry of Education and Culture on preventing coronavirus infections. Among other things, the instructions require that:

  • a possibility to maintain a safe distance of 1-2 metres between attendees or groups has to be ensured.
  • if there is a possibility that queues may start forming, people have to be reminded of and assisted in maintaining safe distances.
  • the organiser must instruct attendees on safe distances and good hand hygiene and offer an opportunity to clean hands.

All actors are committed to following the safety instructions of their field.

Security check, tickets and prohibited items

Please prepare for standard security checks when entering the stadium. There will be a security check on the both gates where security guards will check every incoming people and their bags. The list of prohibited items will be similar to every international event. We have a cloakroom where you can leave prohibited items during competition.

You can take your own water bottle (plastic or cardboard) to the stadium. There are many water supplies on the stadium.

Children and personal helper tickets

Under 12 years old have free access to the stadium if their parents have Ticketmaster tickets to the competition. Also personal helpers have free access if the person they help have ticket to the competition.

First aid

First aid tent lies behind the stands at the back straight of the stadium. (The tent with the Red Cross).

Lost and found

After competition we deliver every lost and founds (that costs over 20€) to the police station. (Eerikinkatu 40-42 20100 Turku), puh. 0295 445 179.
